Olga has been dedicated to a zero waste lifestyle since 2013. With the help of neighbors and her husband Gregor, she founded a shopping community to reduce packaging waste from households.
Through creating a crowdfunding campaign, Cologne’s first Zero Waste Shop "Tante Olga" was born in 2016. In 2019, Olga launched another crowdfunding campaign to create a second branch in Cologne Nippes.
Olga has also gone on to become an author of two books titled "Zero Waste Baby" and "A Life Without Waste", a blogger, a speaker, an activist and a mother to a zero waste baby.

The store "Tante Olga Köln-Nippes" cordially invites you to an event on 09.12.2022 from 09:00 to 19:00. Organic snacks and drinks will be served. Zero Waste gift sets will be available with a purchase of 5€ or more. In addition, there will be a treasure hunt organised with vouchers hidden in the store that you can find and redeem. It's truly worth a visit!

Made up of 8 nations, 6 languages and 3 religions, careers start in the "Kreuzberger Himmel" restaurant, such as from refugee to manager. Run by the "Be an Angel e.V." association and founded in 2015, this organisation supports refugees from their arrival in Germany to helping them integrate into society.

The restaurant "Kreuzberger Himmel" opens its glorious doors on 12.12.2022 and cordially invites you to feast from 15:00 to 21:00. Enjoy an exceptionally delicious 3-course menu including a free drink for only 10€.

From 15.10.2022 to 15.11.2022, we searched for the most engaged local businesses in Berlin and Cologne that work to support a good cause. The two winning businesses have each been given a prize of 10,000€. That prize will be distributed to the entire neighborhood in the form of discounts or vouchers at a small gathering on 09.12.2022 in Cologne and 12.12.2022 in Berlin.
